Update from Friends of San Lucas

Excerpt from January 11, 2021 Friends of San Lucas letter from Executive Director Bill Peterson:

You might be asking, when will we get to return to San Lucas? The truth is, we don’t know. While the vaccines are beginning to be distributed in the U.S., this process will take many months. In Guatemala, they suspect they will not begin to receive the vaccine until later in 2021…So, there are still a number of unknowns. When we feel it is safe, we will likely give priority to medical groups bringing essential medical care, especially to the communities. But there are still too many variables to be able to put a date on when that might happen.
