Humbled and Grateful

Today we visited a village where we set up our clinic in the middle of a street where we saw locals line up excited for our team to be there. There were kids in bunches everywhere and they took a liking to our pharmacy where they crowded around laughing and smiling. It was a very hot day to work through, but we treated everyone we could and everyone was so grateful for our presence.

Being here has been so humbling for me and puts in perspective how the rest of the world lives and how grateful we should be for the things that we have and the place that we live. I think this country has seriously changed my view on how we interact with the rest of the world and how great other cultures and places are when all I’ve ever known is growing up in Minnesota.
